I was thinking this morning that what we really like or wish for helps bring it into our life. In the same way what we fear and hate may do exactly the same. So we have to be careful how we think.
Similarly, what we believe will materialise in this world, as our mind is our most powerful creative tool. However, those material events are only appearances. As children we believed in Santa Claus, or Father Christmas or Saint Nicholas, and so we interpreted the events of presents arriving on Christmas Eve, as visits from Saint Nick. That's what seemed to be, because of what our parents (and siblings) told us.
Later, when we grew up, we saw that this was not true, but a conspiracy, and what really happened was properly understood - parents buying and placing the presents. One of our daughters woke up, without my knowing it, one Christmas Eve, and saw me hard at work as Santa. But she pretended to be asleep, and didn't tell us until a year or two later. She didn't want to spoil the fun for the others.
With regard to religious beliefs, agnostic beliefs, scientific and atheistic beliefs, which we as adults may have, if we really believe the current creeds, or those from 1700 years ago, or more, we will interpret events according to those beliefs and theories. Even after death, we may continue to carry those beliefs for a while, and they will continue to materialise around us. We may see Jesus, or hear God himself speak, and so on. But eventually we shall grow out of the erroneous beliefs and start to see people and events as they really are. What we thought of as Jesus, or a god or entity, may now be seen as a guide or helper in the spirit world, Jesus and God himself probably being on a higher plane, level or frequency. The entity created and worshipped by our cult - and there are many of these, especially in South America, they will crumble into non-existence, since they are only the productions of human imagination and wishful thinking, powerful for a time, as long as they are believed in, but now as dead and departed as the old Norse, Egyptian. Greek and Roman gods, their temples and shrines in ruins. However, the spirits of those who created and believed in them are still as alive as ever, somewhere in the spirit world, or moved on to other dimensions. Even Satan or the Devil will disappear for good, once all traces of our negative thoughts and emotions are dispersed. Such destructive and vengeful entities are created by human hate, envy, cruelty and self-interest. Beliefs, scientific speculations and conspiracy theories, if erroneous, will be replaced by hard reality as we wake up and see the truth at the next level of being,
Here on earth we often deceive ourselves and others, However, genuine religious and spiritual experiences can awaken us and they will never deceive us. We feel the love and light behind life, and know what is true and the basis and origin of life. That is enough for a lifetime. We will never know the absolute truth while living on earth, but we continue to have glimpses of it in the beauty of nature, art, poetry, and hear it in the best and most inspiring music. and also in the kind actions of those we encounter on our journey
We can live on faith or test our beliefs by research. Either way the more convinced we are by our experience of love and light and the power behind it, the more we will lose all fear, and trust our intuitions, in all circumstances. Doubt and scepticism will fly out of the door, and we will feel secure, and trust in the meaning and purpose of our life.
